The Doll Kind is officially on Kickstarter!

We are excited to announce The Doll Kind is live on Kickstarter! 

Here are the details:

The campaign runs March 31st-May 14th.

There are a limited amount of dolls offered during the campaign (1500).

Three designs are available. Two are pictured below. The third is coming soon!

The dolls are offered at a one-time discount with free shipping.

Each doll comes with 6 heart tokens in a custom TDK bag.

As always, for every doll purchased, one is donated to a child less fortunate.

The funds raised through Kickstarter will allow us to produce our first manufacturing run of dolls and tokens, as well as cover shipping supplies. 

For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, funding is all or nothing. This means that in order for a project to be created, it must meet its funding goal by the project deadline (ours is May 14th). 

Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged.

Why Kickstarter?

We have invested countless hours and personal funds to create The Doll Kind. We were even recognized by The First Year's in their Parentpreneur Grant Program, and were awarded a grant to help us further the kind mission. Now, in our final step to bringing The Doll Kind to market, we turn to Kickstarter, and you, our potential backer, to make the dream a reality. We wanted to bring The Doll Kind to Kickstarter for two main reasons.

1. Kickstarter is the perfect place to build community around a project.

Not only will we gain support through Kickstarter, but we hope to get invaluable feedback from you so that we can make the kind mission as strong as possible.

2. Manufacturing is costly.

We believe whole-heartedly in our mission and the value that TDK provides, and that is why we have invested our own funds and countless hours to make it a reality. But it's a lot for two moms to take on alone. If parenting has taught us anything, it is to ask for help when you need it! It is our hope that people everywhere will recognize the value that TDK provides and be passionate about the kind mission as we are, investing directly in it.
